Papua New Guinea to host three Rugby League World Cup Matches

Flag_of_Papua_New_Guinea.svgPapua New Guinea will host three matches at the 2017 Rugby League World Cup and organisers are confident there will be no security risks to players or fans.

As revealed by Fairfax Media last month, the PNG Rugby Football League has finalised discussions with the Rugby League International Federation about hosting three matches in Port Moresby during the World Cup in two years time.

The matches will feature the Papua New Guinea Kumuls and their opposition will be known midway through next year. Because Australia and New Zealand are the main hosts, they will be separated into their own pools.
