Indonesia is among the top 10 countries set to be booked by travelers globally for next year, according to 2015 trend data released by HotelsCombined.
The online hotel booking industry globally — and in Indonesia in particular — is looking positive, with the number of people booking hotel accommodation globally for 2015 on the rise.
Indonesia has maintained its position on the list of top-10 destinations with a 63-percent increase in bookings when compared to the same time period last year.
“New government policies, social economic growth and the potential waiving of the visa-on-arrival for visitors from Australia, Japan, China, South Korea
and Russia are likely to boost inbound tourism in 2015,” said HotelsCombined Indonesia marketing manager, Nana Adistya.
“Based on previous trends, Bali and big cities such as Jakarta and Bandung are expected to continue to be popular destinations, while islands like Raja Ampat and Bunaken are expected to grow as top diving spots among international travelers.”
